Blogs, Blogs, and more Blogs!

Historically, speaking I have always been an old fashioned sort of person who was interested in old fashioned things including antiques, heirloom flowers and vegetables, architecture of days gone by, museums with walls and walls of art from post century days, and old folks who have stories to tell.  Computers and internet were not something that I found of interest and as time has went by I have become somewhat of a critic in this area.  Blogs, I am afraid got the mostest and bluntest criticism... just ask my oldest daughter!  She suggested that possibly, maybe, very uncertainly, not really a chance, that she may start a blog!  I informed her that this was not at all a good idea, stating the following... "people who start blogs are interested mostly in promotion of self and self enrichment. After all who really thinks that they have anything worth saying that anybody in cyperspace could actually give a fig about!"  Being the obedient and somewhat wise daughter who knows that when mama is on a tangent things are best left to the silence of the atmosphere, walked away with a "Well, I guess I won't do it then!"  So... here I am or perhaps I should say here "WE" are,as this is a family blog written by a family and I am only writing because I want to clarify that blogs are not a good thing, however I am going to be part of this blog, and yes I suppose this is quite confusing as I am sure it seems so to my family as well... but... while I still believe that it can be a very self centered hobby... something or should I say someone... namely Our Heavenly Father... has brought it to my attention that a blog could actually be turned toward Him and bring glory to His Name!   Hmmmmmmmm.............!  How you ask can this be done.  Well, that is what I ask as well... to Him... "Just keep the focus off of yourself and onto Higher Ground!"  That said I reread the above post and realized that already I have dropped the ball, as I have used the word "I" 19 times in this post so far.  Thinking it would be a good idea to quit right now make this post before it happens again.  But just for a bit lets Glorify Him~
